Laptop Termurah di dunia ( cuman Rp 100.000,- aja)

India - Sebuah proyek ambisius sedang berjalan untuk mencapai hasil yang mungkin saat ini tak terbayangkan: membuat laptop seharga USD 10 atau sekitar Rp 100 ribu saja. Terdengar tidak masuk akal?

Proyek itu digarap oleh Indian Institute of Science di Bangalore, India, yang bekerjasama dengan Indian Institute Technologi di Chennai. D. Purandeswari, selaku menteri pendidikan , berkata pada konfrensi di Delhi proyek ini dimaksudkan untuk menaikan kualitas pendidikan di India.

Seperti dikutip detikINET dari Softpedia, Kamis (31/7/2008), program ini agaknya masih jauh di awang-awang. Purandeswari saja belum bisa membeberkan spesifikasi laptop super murah tersebut, baik dari sisi bentuk maupun jeroan.

Saat ini spesies komputer jinjing paling murah yang ada di pasaran adalah jenis Netbook. Mulai dari Asus Eee PC, Zyrex Anoa hingga MSI U100 Wind Netbook.

Meski inspirasinya adalah proyek laptop murah USD 100 ala One Laptop per Child (OLPC), kebanyakan Netbook yang ada di pasaran dibanderol pada harga Rp 3 juta hingga Rp 5 juta.

Laptop termurah di pasaran saat ini mungkin adalah J-Pro Mini Laptop JL7100 dari JoinTech yang dibanderol USD 99 (sekitar Rp 900 ribu). J-Pro menggunakan sistem operasi Windows CE 5.0 dan memiliki aplikasi dengan kemampuan sangat terbatas.

Lembaga analisa pasar Gartner memprediksi laptop USD 100 saja masih terlalu jauh dari kenyataan, apalagi untuk laptop USD 10.
